A MAGICIAN LIKE NO OTHER

Dylan on "El Gordo y La Flaca.

Dylan Ace with Lili Estefan on "El Gordo y La Flaca" Univision.

With his unique talent and skills, Dylan Ace has elevated the art of illusion and escapes to a whole new level. His live show is a unique, fun & interactive magical experience like no other.  His extensive repertoire allows him the ability to perform all types of magic from intimate close-up magic, to grand illusions, and even death defying escapes. Due to Ace’s Latin background (born to Cuban native parents), he can perform his full show in fluent Spanish as well. While most magicians appear in tuxedos, Ace dresses like the boy next store, with his sleeves rolled up, allowing for nothing to be concealed. In addition, his boy next store style sets the audience at ease, allowing them to appreciate his endearing presence and magic, without being intimidated. Teller of Penn & Teller said, “ I must say Dylan has certainly done his homework! That is very hard stuff he is doing and he does it with the kind of relaxed control one gets only after lots of polishing. To me the best thing of all is that he genuinely seems to be having fun performing. There’s a nice easygoing cheer about the way he carries himself. Not stiff and stilted like most magicians. He is a real pro.”

At 18, Ace was discovered by World Famous Las Vegas Star, Lance Burton, Burton whom was so impressed by Ace’s talents he invited him to appear as his only guest artist on his personal television special “LANCE BURTON: ON THE ROAD”, which premiered on FOX. Lance Burton said, His appearance was the highlight of the entire show.”

Dylan already made his mark before his t.v. shoot, at 12 he became the youngest champion of both The Association of Latin American Magicians, and International Brotherhood of Magicians World Competitions. By the age of 14, he had already performed with some of the biggest stars in show business; Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Sinbad, Rosie O’ Donnel, Whoopi Goldberg, Paul Simon, Jimmy Buffet, and Andy Garcia to name a few. Dylan Ace was born on October 31, 1981 in Miami, Florida to Cuban native parents. At 6 Ace became fascinated with magic after seeing David Copperfield live. But it wasn’t until he saw Lance Burton perform his world famous dove act that Ace realized he too can perform magic. At the time, young Ace thought to be a magician like Copperfield you needed to have big expensive props and dancers. He had no idea that you could structure an entire act with normal objects utilizing sleight of hand. Until he saw Burton. He then started performing magic at the age of eight. At the same time Ace also became fascinated by Houdini after seeing the movie based on his life and career starring Tony Curtis. Oddly enough, Ace is the same height as Houdini and was born on the same date as Houdini’s death. At 10, Ace met magic legend Fantasio, whom appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show 5 times. Fantasio mentored Dylan and under his tutelage guided and helped him.

Ace is an accomplished escape artist as well. In magic you must learn how to manipulate your hands but in escapes you must learn how to manipulate your entire body. At the age of 20 he successfully attempted his first major escape. Since then Ace has done everything from underwater  to  strapped into a strait jacket by Dan Marino. Dylan has been featured on HBO, NBC, FOX, PBS, UNIVISION, TELEMUNDO, TVG (SPAIN), THE FAMILY CHANNEL, and THE LEARNING CHANNEL. He has performed in Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, Boston, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Miami, Mexico City, Bogota, and several cities throughout Spain. Ace also served as an opening act for Lenny Kravitz, Celia Cruz, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, The Bee Gees, Paul Rodriguez, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Bacilos, Ruben Blades, Jessica Simpson, JC Chasez, and Nick Cannon among others.
